This was a junior beginner class and choreography was made especially for their learning capabilities. Also, some are taking the class purely out of the joy of dancing so i make no apologies for this video - at least they try their best. I am proud of how much theyve improved from the time i've been with them and i just wanted to share it :) Thank you.

@hermypotty - Sorry for the late reply! It took approximately 4-5 months of work but there were plenty of rehearsals where not many people attended and many cotillioners were also in their final year of secondary. so there were inconsistent attendances :p

@charmerchan - Thank you very much for the positive comment! I really enjoyed choreographing and teaching this group and i couldnt just credit myself with everything but i had plenty of help. I never really enjoy the traditional cotillions as much as i used to so i basically make something people would enjoy watching :) I've already had alot of prior experience directing other cotillions but this is by far one of my favourites - especially the way the waltz looked and felt.

@HEYiTzBrii - Thank you for the helpful feedback :) as the choreographer, i speak for myself and the rest of the cotillioners - none of us have had formal training in any ballroom sort of dancing. I myself am self taught and have had to study it from other sources. I'm more of a hip-hop/choreography teacher but i've done my best! hope that explains the lack of "true" technique within the pieces? Once again, thank you for the pointers!

There was just a few things that bothered me. First for the jive, you're triple steps were too big. The first triple is in place then out, in place, out, then rock step. And in the same dance, the lady's right hand in suppost to be downwards along with the man with lady's palm facing down. But overall the choreography was pretty good.

this is freakin AHHmazing =)). As in i'm wishing i went through with my debut. had you as my choreo and danced liked there was no tomorrow. Great choreography !!!!!!!
